The Spirit of Shiba Inu
At the end of 2020, I sold Shiba Inu for $50. That $50 dollars would have been worth $50 million at the all-time high. The one TX that I will remember for the rest of my life.
One thing Shiba Inu successors never understood was the key to its success. Many tried, most failed. What really made Shiba Inu so great was the selflessness of its creators. It was the intrinsic value of Shiba Inu. Everyone who bought it was an equal part of it. No promises, but a great community spirit.
In October last year an old friend came up to me and said he was a hugh whale in the IoTex Ecosystem. I had never heard of it before. He said he wanted to give a gift to the IoTex community. A Shiba Inu token of their own that really carries the spirit of the first Shiba Inu Project and is not just an empty promise. He asked me for the favour of creating this token for him and he would provide the liquidity if I would promise to burn it.
I wasn’t convinced by the idea at first, but followed his request because I didn’t want to deny my old friend his wish. IoTexShiba was born.
To everyone’s surprise, IoTexShiba was already extremely successful at the launch and went from zero to over two million marketcap within a few days.
The Anonymous patreon of IoTexShiba had a condition that none of our team should take advantage of the situation so that the token belonged entirely to the community. So none of us bought in, but we were all betrayed by one in our midst: our mod named Dreamer. He bought many tokens and sold mercilessly. By the time we realised the betrayal, it was too late and all we could do was limit as much damage as possible.
The anonymous patreon helped stabilise the project, then he disappeared, disappointed by his friend’s betrayal. I’m sure he’s still here watching us. Eventually he will return and help us rise again. Stronger than ever.
Since then, we’ve done everything we can to decentralise token distribution more and more, given airdrops to the people of IoTex and invested a lot so far without ever taking anything. We even audited the contract at our own expense and renounced it. The project is completely trustless in the hands of the community now. We lose together or win together.
I almost lost hope, but the community showed its strength. People like G.rOme kept fighting, Cerberus always stayed by my side and the guys from Pixiesoccer showed us how much they appreciated a strong community.
Our future seems brighter than ever before. We are working on our NFT Collection, we are involved in GameFi and working on new passive income opportunities for our holders that we will reveil soon along with many other things. All the upcoming applications will greatly increase the transactions of IoShib and thus the reflections as passive income.
I am Mike and I kept fighting and will not give up fighting for us all. The IoTex ecosystem was strange to me but I have come to love it and I am staying. IoTexShiba is not just another doge coin. We carry the true spirit of Shiba Inu.
